About Dr. LaVallee

Jeffrey LaVallee, MD, is a regenerative medicine specialist on the team at the New England Stem Cell Institute in Glastonbury, CT. 

Dr. LaVallee is a Connecticut native. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts and earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and he finished his training with a fellowship in sports medicine at Swedish Spine, Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine Clinic in Seattle.

In his practice, Dr. LaVallee is passionate about effective nonsurgical treatments of musculoskeletal injuries and painful conditions. He maintains a strong focus on diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasounds, exercise physiology, and regenerative medicine, especially prolotherapy, PRP, and stem cell treatments. 

Dr. LaVallee has been heavily involved in athletics his entire life and has gained experience in a wide range of athletic positions that consistently inform his expert medical treatments today. In college, he competed as an NCAA Division I gymnast and was a member of the US National Team. After graduation, he spent time coaching gymnastics.

Dr. LaVallee has served as a team physician for numerous institutions, including the men’s basketball and women’s soccer teams at Seattle University in Seattle, the football team at O’Dea High School in Seattle, and the football team at Monticello High School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He’s assisted with medical coverage for the WNBA Seattle Storm, the NWSL Seattle Reign, the 2015 USA Gymnastics P&G National Championships, and student-athletes at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

He’s also gained experience in the entertainment aspect of athletics, working as a production assistant for NBC Sports in their broadcast of the 2004 Olympic Games.

When not working, Dr. LaVallee likes to hike, golf, and snowboard, and spending time with his wife, Kelly, and their three young sons.
