Meet PA - DeFrance
Alex DeFrance PA-C to the New England Stem Cell Institute! Alex has joined our practice as a Physician Assistant, and she will be assisting Dr. Tortland in seeing and treating patients.
Alex was raised in Middletown, CT. She completed her undergraduate degree at Providence College in Providence, RI, where she majored in biology and psychology with a neuroscience certificate. In college she played club soccer and worked as a physical therapy aide.
Where Did You Study Medicine?
She attended P.A. school at Arcadia University in Philadelphia, and graduated May 2022. Outside of work she is an avid athlete, having completed 10 Spartan races and other similar obstacle courses. She also enjoys hiking and she plays in an Ultimate Frisbee league.
Life Outside of the Office
She is an animal lover, cherishing her 2 year old English cream Golden Retriever, and her family has 4 other dogs.
