Review Our Office Policies
All office visits are by appointment only; we do not accept walk-in visits.
Payment for Services
Unless other arrangements have been made, payment is expected at the time of service. In some circumstances, such as when we have to special-order a product for your treatment, you may be asked to pay in advance.
The New England Stem Cell Institute does not participate with ANY insurance plans. Therefore we do not and will not submit any bill to insurance, and we do not/will not seek prior authorization for treatments. At your request we will be happy to provide you with an itemized statement.
One Office Visit, One Problem
We appreciate and understand that patients occasionally will have multiple complaints – knee, hip, ankle, shoulder, etc. However, in order to provide the highest quality care possible we focus on only one problem at a particular office visit. We would rather do an outstanding job evaluating and treating one problem than do a lousy job trying to evaluate multiple problems at once! If you have multiple complaints we will ask you to pick the one that you would like to focus on during that office visit.
Yes, there are times when problems may be related. For example, your hip pain may actually be coming from your back, or your shoulder pain may be coming from your neck. But otherwise we will gladly set up a separate appointment to evaluate your other complaints.
Coming in Late For Your Appointment
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment you will be offered the option of waiting until we can squeeze you in that day or rescheduling your appointment. It’s not fair to make everyone after you wait because you were late for your appointment. If you are habitually late for your appointments then you may run the risk of being discharged from the practice.
No-Shows and Late Cancellations
If you are unable to make your appointment, we ask that you please give as at least 24 hours notice so that another needy patient can get in. If you no-show for your appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be billed for an office visit. If you no-show for three appointments you will be discharged from the practice.
Opioid / Narcotic Pain Medication
As a rule we do not prescribe opioid pain medication.
